Terribly over-acted by the lead, Keri Russel. She tries way too hard to portray a strong woman that she comes off as obtuse and angry, even when the rest of the cast is calm, cool, and collected around her. She doesn't give off "diplomat" vibes, but anger management vibes. Nobody in the real world would take half of her attitude on the chin, at times dropping multiple F bombs in single sentences. Her demeanor toward the President in just the second episode (maybe the beginning of the third) was embarrassing.
The show makes points about a position of power being opened up to someone just because of their gender. Then look at how the show casts for the sake of being able to cast that way, rather than acting ability. Netflix doing netflix things.
