Kat Williams

Terribly over-acted by the lead, Keri Russel. She tries way too hard to portray a strong woman that she comes off as obtuse and angry, even when the rest of the cast is calm, cool, and collected around her. She doesn't give off "diplomat" vibes, but anger management vibes. Nobody in the real world would take half of her attitude on the chin, at times dropping multiple F bombs in single sentences. Her demeanor toward the President in just the second episode (maybe the beginning of the third) was embarrassing. The show makes points about a position of power being opened up to someone just because of their gender. Then look at how the show casts for the sake of being able to cast that way, rather than acting ability. Netflix doing netflix things.

Great potential ruined by bad casting, corny 1 liners. A few of the cast are unbelievable and their roles over-acted. The two worst offenders are in the unbelievably unintelligent group of misfit knights in training; Thaddea Graham and Islam Bouakkaz. Their acting has made me switch the show on two separate occasions as I struggled to finish the season. Even now as I write this I'm trying to watch the fifth episode, where I see the wife/girlfriend of the black knight in a very illogical and overblown confrontation with some other girl over a horse. Every conversation doesn't require someone pulling a knife on the other with ridiculous ultimatums nobody would make in real life. There are some redeeming characters, though. The main actor who plays Tiuri isn't bad, Emilie Cocquerel is great, as is Jack Barton. The story isn't terrible either if you're a fan of medieval fantasies.
