Honestly, I am a huge fan of Enhypen, and it was after I heard them mention I-land here and there that I decided I should check it out.
I had no clue as to what the show was until I actually looked it up, and even then, after researching a bit about the show, I wasn't convinced.
Really, the group I've come to love was created through a 'survival show'? Unbelievable.
I went in skeptical, but soon after I watched the first episode, the format, the setting, the premise, and the motivation — it all made a lot of sense. Of course, these people are so damn talented, I thought.
For anyone thinking that this show is your run-of-the-mill survivor show, I don't think so. I've never seen participants be this invested in their friends' journeys as well as their own.
Anyhow, the show was very good.
It could have been shot better, like there are some scenes where I wanna throw my remote at the TV, but honestly, if you're a fan of enhypen, you can sit through the show, no problem.
You'll be surprised to see that even though you know the seven members of the group, you genuinely can't tell how they made it.
It's like reading a whodunit novel; we already know who the culprit is, but you wanna know what happened.
Every little detail.
I really, really enjoyed the show; there were times I felt like crying, and other times when I ended up crying because I could feel the desperation of these young kids who want to achieve their dream of becoming an Idol.
I'd highly recommend this to anyone who loves K-pop, the songs are amazing, the performances will blow your mind, and you'll be fairly entertained throughout the show.
