It's legitimately great. All the one star reviews do not know what they're talking about. Here are some of their genius critiques:
"Too loud, too crazy, too fast!" That's the point. It's a fast-paced, anxiety-inducing film because that's what our main character goes through. His life is one bad decision after another. We experience everything the character goes through and feels.
"Too much swearing!" The most hilarious complaint about this film. It's rated R. Did you go in expecting a PG Adam Sandler family comedy? Seriously, I get that there is a ton of swearing in the film. But it adds so much to the real nature of this setting and characters. I believed these characters would swear non-stop. They wouldn't be clean, gentlemen. They're gonna be loud, rude, and swear a ton.
"I hate the ending" I won't go into spoilers at all but the ending is incredible. If you hate it then you were probably expecting something very different.
So yeah, this film is great. Just know what you're getting into. This isn't a fun film to watch. It will make you feel anxiety, it's a dirty film with flawed characters who cuss a lot, and there is some dark stuff in this film. I saw it three times and loved it each time. Strongly recommend seeing this and Little Women. Both are 5/5 for me!
