Instantly forgettable. Technically it's brilliant. But story-wise it does nothing but borrow from other films and clearly it hoped the actors and budget would carry a pretty average experience. They could have made the same movie with half the budget.

Good atmosphere, but full of plotholes, macguffins and characters that only exist to jump narrative gaps or stoke audience empathy. Sloppy and a big let down at the finale.

Not a bad re-visitation. Its biggest flaw is that the first movie left very little room for new surprises.

Flashy, shallow and not quite sure what it wants to achieve.

Though cringy teen-lit, it's well acted, paced, designed and directed. Looking forward to the next one.

Dismal rehash of the first movie's good ideas and forgets how to be interesting.

Fun, fresh and ridiculous. Right up there with the Evil Deads and Cabin in the Woods of the world.

Pretty and competent, but not intelligent. Many plot holes and unresolved threads. Wants to be much more than it really is.

The contests are fun, but 70% of this show is reality TV melodrama and I learned nothing about actual fitness.
