I loved this film from start to finish. One of the best MCU has to offer. There is so much to praise about it, I could go on forever. But let's just say it was everything I was hoping for and more. Everything I wanted to see happen came to fruition onscreen, and in a most spectacular fashion. The humor was just perfect. The climax was beautifully executed. 10 out of 10 rings for Shang Chi!

I would give this a solid 2.5/5. Despite its all-star cast, I found it very difficult to actually care about any of the characters. Additionally, some of the moments that were supposed to be poignant just seemed kind of far-fetched. The only person I found myself even a little bit invested in was Ikaris. I guess the best way to sum up this film is to say that despite the fact that it seemed to have all the right ingredients--the right talent, beautiful visuals, a high-stakes plot, and all the budget it needs--it still somehow failed to come together right.

Great idea, poor execution. Like a hope-filled wish gone horribly wrong, this highly anticipated film falls flat when compared to its predecessor.
