An attempt at a woke commentary on societal beauty standards that instead marginalises, underrepresents, and villifies POC, excuses problematic behaviour from cis-het, white, upper class people, diminishing the struggle of the actual oppressed classes. Bullying is in no way a minor issue, however positioning tallness as more significant than racism, is deeply problematic. Tokenism is rife in this film, in which there are endless opportunities to recognise minorities, which are overlooked so obliquely that it almost seems purposeful.
