5/5: Tales of the Jedi provides an epic look into how Count Dooku turned to the dark side, and the beginnings of Ahsoka Tano. These were only 6 episodes ranging in 13-17 minute lengths, but these animated episodes carried so much depth, weight, and made such an impact when watching it. Count Dooku's conflicted emotions to the Jedi Order, wanting to do things his own thing, it does connect to the audience, and some of what he says makes sense. Meanwhile, for Ahsoka's story we really see what made her special, and the intense training put under by Anakin is really what saved her bacon all those years later.
I sincerely hope Disney & Lucasfilms makes more of these short episodes for these characters; I think we got a complete look at Count Dooku, but the last episode can be expanded on with Ahsoka's story leading up to say, her time in Rebels or the Mandalorian, but animated. The animation was beautiful in these episodes, and the writing superb.
Disney CEO Bob Chapek said recently that adults don't like animation, and that animation isn't for adults. Well Bob, speaking as an adult, and speaking as someone who was introduced to the Clone Wars animated TV show which kickstarted my interest in the series (and it's spinoffs) by my parents who are adults, I say to you Mr. Chapek that animated shows are for adults, and you Bob Chapek are 100% WRONG.
