People are raving about this series. While I found it reasonably entertaining, I'd like to add some balance to all this effusive praise. My two main criticisms are the main character's personality and the 'rinse and repeat' nature of the story after episode 1. The main character isn't particularly likeable and I began hoping she would lose. She doesn't smile much and comes over as cold, and she can't develop a relationship, opting for quick sex instead. I know she says she loves the first bloke she sleeps with, but she doesn't attempt to pursue him with any fervour. And while claiming to love him she had casual sex with 2 men. When she is an adult, the series is basically a dull repeat of her entering and mostly winning tournaments. I kept expecting something interesting and different, but it never came. Lazy writing.
