It's an All Girls Hogwarts day to day life. Which, in all fairness, I would kill to see (I love world building) if it was done well. The acting of the young supporting cast is uninspired and wooden, and that of the older cast members is overwrought and has all the impressions one would associate with an melodramatic 8 year old. The plot is cliche in a way that reminds me of Enid Blyton stories, except her dialogue was better. It is a children's show, and most young children can't process complex themes about death denial(like harry potter) but they can process simple tales about morality, character and friendship, which is something Blyton did well. And it is clear they are trying to do that, with simple storylines and cliche characters who do cliche things, but it astounds me that they manged to rip off the work of two good writers who wrote wonderful books, and it turned out this bad.
