BTS attended UNGA as diplomats representing their country to represent the younger generations and future leaders of our time. Corden's "offensive" joke came in unprovoked. BTS and ARMY have every right to be offended. Just as any discrimination shouldn´t be used for jokes, prejudice on gender and age shouldn´t either! Using these to invalidate BTS' influence and impact in today's society is immaturity, insensitive, and plain ignorant. Maybe we should shift the narrative from “not all of ARMYs are teenage girls” to “why are we dismissive of things teenage girls are passionate about?”Yes we are a diverse fandom, but even IF all of ARMY were teenagers, would that make BTS any less worthy of respect?
