A good idea but a confusing plot and bad script. Loosely based the poem “Darkness” by Lord Byron, the sun burns out (apparently due to sun spots) and the world goes dark. Instead of following the poem’s description of the dying Earth and collapsing society, it focuses on a dysfunctional family- which would be awesome if the story wasn’t so confusing. Too bad, since there were a few great actors in this movie.
