Normally, I enjoy The View, especially since Meghan is gone. However, someone needs to tell Kristen Anderson that "we" (i assume she means young workers) are taking care of the elderly through current Medicare and Social Security payroll deductions is a insult to many, including myself. I started working as a cashier in a grocery store at age 16. I could afford one year at a Tech college, taking secretarial courses. College ended in May. I got a secretarial job in mid-July and I held a job from age 19 until age 60, when I retired from a job that I held for the previous 35 years. Every check that I earned in forty-two years of working had payroll deductions for Medicare and Social Security. My health is fair. I will never live long enough to receive the amount that was deducted from my paychecks. I am receiving what I contributed. Kristen should be told that she cannot take credit for the benefits that I earned. You wonder why a girl with fair-colored hair is called A DUMB BLONDE. Do your homework before you speak, Kristen!
