The Last Thing You Said tells the story of two teenagers, and each chapter is alternating their point of views so the reader gets to know both characters. Ben's sister, Trixie was Lucy's best friend since kindergarten. After a terrible accident and misunderstanding though, Ben and Lucy haven't talked in a while. The pair want to talk to each other and patch things up, but they usually catch each other at the wrong times. Sara Biren's novel is beautifully written. You really get to feel and understand the two protagonist on their journey for love.
