Two Pros, One Con Pros: The cast did an amazing job, especially Halle Bailey as Ariel. She really captured the character's essence of beauty,strength and naivety. I personally loved the additional songs.They added more depth to character's emotions. And scuttle bot is a bop! Con: The under water kingdom is basically non existent. All you get to see are Ariel's sisters for like a mili-second. It took away a lot of the magic of the under water world from the original. Overall its a good movie reprise.

The show has a coming of age style about it but it's not cliche. Unpacking the secrets of Georgia's past and traveling along with Ginny's love life is what really kept me going. All the characters have unique personalities. Definitely, the show for you if you like some mystery, romance, and showcases real issues that teens go through.
