Certain dramas hold you in their doleful grip without explosions, action, sex or violence, jokes or any of the usual tricks, by immersing you in a world of stressed-out grown-ups solving grown-up problems like grown-ups. I sat with a 10 year old boy watching this from one end to the other and neither one of us lost interest for a minute. Quite an achievement given the subject- Wall Street traders and the dodgy financial products that unravelled them in 2008, beginning a chain reaction that rolled around the world- yet by putting you inside, you come out feeling like an expert, making this intellectual trip emotionally satisfying too.
