If you are able to watch the change in the style and way Kdramas are made. I'd say 2014 "Love from the Star" was one of the firsts to change into the newer style in which Kdramas are now being made. It was a new style, with less comedic style effect are more similar to Hollywood production and script writing that you see in current Kdramas.

It is a rare Kdrama that I don't see a lot of. It resembles a lot of the recent Korean zombie movies but it has a more thriller and intense twist to it that fits perfectly with the amazing epic soundtracks.
