Nepoleon treated Josephine like he was still in war. Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby - their performance was outstanding !!! Cinematography excellent !

Toni Collete’s performance was excellent, but I had a few issues. It drag in certain areas. It was difficult to connect young Jane to the present Jane. Felt like two different movies running at the same time. What comes into question through the chase and suspenseful music… is this about domestic violence, incess, political corruption, etc… So many themes shouting out and yet nothing very concrete except the lure of wanting to know how this all ends. There are so many movies that takes twists and turns to play out the story, nowadays-I’m hoping the crafting will deliver a worthy ending.

I don’t understand, is this a female remake of Oceans 8 or a continuation with Danny Ocean’s sister ( Sandra Bullock’s character) taking the lead? If this was a female version remake, I could understand the women imitating the original characters; Bullock to Clooney, Blanchard to Pitt, etc. But, if it’s a continuation of some sort ( since, it clearly seems the characters are related) why have the main leads behave like the original characters? The writing has too many flaws, full of no substance and a bunch of ego posing.

Over the top! Al Pacino was wonderful! I won’t watch season 2, if he isn’t in it. This is based on real life horror suffered by the Jews and I’m not in favor of sensationalizing trauma, pain, and evil. Over the top! Pacino, Kane, and Rubinek gave the series the sensitivity and respect that was needed.

Should not have shown the dead body of a child. This is very inconsiderate and disrespectful to all who have children and who lost children to violence. This glorifying violence. This is supposed to be a Netflix movie for entertainment. But, when is too much just to shock and entertain too much? This is crossing the line.

Mental illness. The mother has some issues, isolated, and is put on medication. This movie reminds me of the movie, Hereditary.
