Short Review : 1984 for me shall always remain vividly etched in my memory as a testament of a totalitarian society, where Freedom is Slavery and 2+2 = 5, a world where the proles (common man) will be happy with whatever they get, shall not trust each other, shall never doubt and criticize the ruling party, with no personal goals or ambitions, just living a dead life, hailing the govt and Dying.

1984 : a dystopian fiction which is relevant, spell binding, gory and an eye opener.
Winsten Smith is a govt official in the country of OCEANIA, which is constantly at war, the cause of which is unknown to the common man.
Winsten is insane for the times, as deep down he has a sent resentment with the Big Brother ( The mystical head of the ruling party), deep down he is at a dilemma of revolting or staying aligned with status quo, but the world of Oceania is different, it can trace and know what you think, there is no privacy, no Harmony, even a family is something of an ancient forgotten concept.
Procreation, is an activity to be carried not for the sexual pleasure but as a ritual to bear a child.
People speak a language called Newspeak which is edited and redited to keep the Party in power supreme and forever.
But, Winsten is different, he has a hero among the souless, slaves of men, he falls in love, all to end and how ๐
