In my opinion, this was a great miniseries. It showed the true disaster that unfolded in Chernobyl. It showed the after affect on people how it burned them from the inside out, the animals too, and the city. It also gave some information about how insects disappeared for a while. Barley any life was there. It really demonstrated how they risked their lives to solve this problem, especially the young men with the graphite on the roof top. How they had only 90 seconds to be out there (1:30) in order to throw it off. Jared Harris really portrayed Valery Legasov well, and so did Emily Watson and Stellan Skarsgård as Ulana Khomyuk and Boris Shcherbina. Great acting. Jessie Buckley portrayed the pregnant lady Lyudmilla Ignatenko who didn’t know the affects of the radiation to to the point where her baby absorbed it and died only lasting 4 hours. Great acting. Great information over all, I never knew about Chernobyl till this miniseries. I would go on and on but it would be hours haha. Overall, great miniseries for a 13 yr old who loves documentaries on real life crisis and crime shows.
