I felt like this movie fell flat, sadly to my dismay, as I love the two female leads in this. I couldn’t get into the plot or the dichotomy of the lead character (Olivia) being stabbed with a hairpin by (Dakota) and the premise leading up to it with the flash back of her life as a mother. The performers deserve a 5 star rating, but the story left me with much to be desired. I think there could have been more substance and success with a definitive plot and an ending that conveyed purpose. It was like watching a piece of abstract art, that was indeed, beautiful, artistic, but lacked the depth, understanding and connection to the audience to leave a viewer truly satisfied. The ending literally, was like, what?? That’s it? It left me feeling like I spent a lot of time to watch a movie and ending that was so ambiguous, without purpose, and honestly didn’t give closure (negative or positive) to the audience.
