Oh my GOD! How amazing was Its a Sin? Was properly moved after the last episode ended and felt quite affected by the story but also the wider issues it shone a light on. Amazing writing and definitely a seminal show that will last a long time and probably be showing just as well in 20 years time. As a 40 year old straight man born in 1980 I was aware of the Aids crisis but never could have imagined what horror people faced not just because of the illness but the barbaric treatment by “society “ at the time. Many scenes will resonate and shake people differently but for me the three scenes that will never leave me are the mortgage questionnaire piece; Colin locked alone in that ward, and the final scenes on the beach on the IOW. Everyone of all persuasions MUST watch this.
