As someone who grew up reading the book and watching the original movie, I had high hopes for this remake. With such talented cast and crew, I cannot believe how awful this movie is! I don't blame them for the terrible creative liberties that were taken as I believe the actors did their best. Why on earth would they give the grand high witch ONE toe on each foot when we all know the witches have square feet and NO toes?! I can completely agree with the critics who felt that her "hands" were completely unnecessary. The original movie kept to the book's storyline beautifully. By removing the grand high witch's assistant from the plot, they ruined the ending and removed any sense of closure like the book had. And the witch hunter trailer?! Utterly ridiculous! I'm saddened and disappointed in the desecration of such a classic child's tale.
