-Subjectively, an emotional-riveting masterpiece.
-Objectively, a wholesome tale that harkens back to the things that made Star Wars so captivating in the first place.
This felt akin to the final season of Rebels which we [the fans] always hoped for.
In this regard, Dave Filoni didn't merely create a cheap, new SW story for Disney but took time to plan out a narrative that actually has depth.
Filoni utilized the voice of the fans, coupled with his own in-depth knowledge (which shows his deep relationship with George Lucas) of what constitutes a well-made SW story, and thus Filoni created this masterful Ahsoka mini-series.
The amount of visceral moments where I was on the edge of my seat, or didn't know what to expect next, or where I actually started to tear-up, shows me how much emotional integrity, care, and planned-out attributes were consistently utilized. To take on this dynamic tale of one of the galaxy's most soulful and unique characters, Ahsoka Tano, is no easy feat.
The cast, Dawson most notably, is a true leader, and the accompanying characters and their respective performers are at the top of their game.
Ray Stevenson is an immensely captivating antagonist (who you actually feel like rooting for as well), and Sabine, and Ezra.... I cannot commend them enough.
Casting was perfect!
Prequel-era moments galore, and a melody of magic and force-using moments that left me in wonder, the action and visual effects were high-class, and this also felt like a unifying story that has created a new tone for SW story-telling.
This series now holds a special place in my heart, one that look forward to returning to over and over again.
