Delicious. Had me constantly eating the japanese limited edition Egg Sandwich flavored pringles at an alarming constant rate. Good stuff.

This album really didn't live up to my expectations, and it's safe to assume that many think the same, yet no one would like to admit it. It does not live up to his previous works. It does not have the emotional appeal of his past works. I absolutely love Rex Orange County. Apricot Princess has amazing instrumentals and great lyricism, yet Pony seems very minimal and stripped. Minimal is not always bad, yet in this case, it is. Out of the 10 songs the album has to offer, I only really enjoyed 4 of them. I suppose I can not relate to the audience his demographic contains, being mostly white high school girls.

It presents such a raw nature- whether it be topics about skeletal remains being disposed out of the mouth, or seeing footage of violence, or just the crunchiness of the bass and sampled Middle Eastern ringtones. This album is very raw, and very experimental, and certainly a praise to the ears. 10/10.
