I recommend this show to everyone and families can watch together, but with caution because there are many sexual innuendos, a lot of crude dialogue.
Mellissa McCarthy is brilliant and show is character driven about a couple meeting their mates. Billy Gardell is excellent and plays off McCarthy & Reno Wilson naturally.
My wife and I enjoy it because it's about family and not trying to save the world or make a social statement. Those kind of shows are needed and can be helpful, but sometimes we need a break from from society's problems.
Reno Wilson is superb with an uneven character, who's either a wise, trustworthy friend or according to his grandmother a socially awkward man child with some serious sexual hang ups.
Cleo King does well with her two dimensional character who embarrasses her grandson far too much and is either insulting Carl about sex or announcing she wants sex.
Rondi Reed is Mike's mother and balances out the show well as a character I can identify with. A person who uses speaking the truth as a cover to insult people. Yet Chuck Lorre pulls her out of the dirt, just enough to make us like her.
Louis Mustillo manages to be likeable despite being given some of cringe worthy crude dialogue. I believe it's intended to set up McCarthy & Gardell characters and it works, thank goodness.
Katy Mixon plays the dumb stoner routine better than anyone I've ever seen and is perfect foil to McCarthy's character.
If not for the crude dialogue and constant sex jokes I would rate Mike & Molly 5 stars.
p.s. This show is a good show to comment about how the media portrays sex. I get it's not real life so exaggerated, but good grief to believe this show is to believe we Americans will do anything for sex and are obsessed with it from puberty to the day we die and I find it tiresome.
