Terrible..... I love the book with a passion, I have read it more times than I can count, and the book shaped me as a person. But this movie does a horrible job of showing the beauty that made the book so special. Most of the actors underplay their roles, iconic scenes are remade and not for the better, and some of the most important parts are left out, or are mentioned very briefly. I hope one day this will be remade into a proper movie by someone who actually read the book and didn't just take a road trip after hearing about the book from a friend. The dazzling roman candle that was the book ended up being the fading coal of the movie....

I think most of the positive reviews are computer bots. The movie was dodgy. It was pretty with prancing music. If you actually like the real story the movie was terrible. maybe 3/5 if you are being nice, maybe. People do not talk like these reviews are typed... bots ... go read the book. Paul and Jamis fought inside without suits on... it's not that hard to do proper and well. And the Baron was fat and had tiny machines just to support his fatness, he couldn't float and he wasn't sick. And the water cup scene isn't in the book. And Liet-Kynes is a guy not a girl, he's Chani's dad. And Paul's holo info book didn't know Fremen could mount worms, riding the maker is a hella secret. You should feel bad Dennis.

The Last Jedi RUINED everything that George Lucas created. Rose was a foolish character, and the entire idea of a "new cantina scene" with the hotel was just silly. And to build up romance between Rey and Finn, to just smash it with a freekin rock is just idiotic! And, Luke Sky walker would have never turned Rey away and he would have been happy I think to see her. Frankly, I think all of the backlash the actress that played Rose received was needed! Over all, this movie is silly, pointless and overall excruciating to watch!
