Having often wondered why it is that anti-abortionists who most often despise the intrusion of government into their lives have no problem when their government makes it illegal for half the citizens to effectively control their own bodies. To carry a fetus to term tests the limit of human endurance. Just because I can run 6 marathons a week for months and months does not mean that I have to. Of course, we all know that the truly defacto effect of anti-abortion laws is to deny poor black women's access to abortion, knowing full well that affluent white women will always have that access, which for them becomes a right to control their own bodies and is sacrosanct. Now, if we just connect the dots Wilkerson provides, we understand that members of the upper white caste must own the wombs of black women in order to perpetuate caste. It is baked into caste as identified by race. Obama is no more black than he is white but because he has any ancestry other than "white" he is black. As Wilkerson points out, the concept of "not one drop of black blood" meant that you were not white. This allowed white, upper caste slave masters to rape black female slaves and have their very own children be their slaves, thus increasing their live stock in the untouchable caste. The upper white castes own the black womb. This is an allowed intrusion of big government upon freedom precisely because it is not promulgated as government but by caste. Freedom is trumped by the liberty for the upper caste to control the lower caste. (Freedom is for liberals, the dog whistle liberty represents the right to dominate and subdue.) To allow black females to abort denies caste and effectively destroys it.
