Generous 2 stars. Horrific acting, pacing is all over the place, and it seems 90% of the story progression and setup happens between scenes. Characters flip flop on motivations with no on screen justification. “I will never speak to you, I hate you” *2 minutes later* “ok I will speak to you and love you now”. This film did not need to happen. However, the spectacles are mildly entertaining and it’s nice to have a conclusion to the original story.

Sold as a “motion picture” and “not just a live gig”… but it is precisely just a live gig. Granted, what looks like an amazing gig, but one that comes across as “look at what you missed” rather than any effort to be a film. Constantly referencing how great California and Los Angeles are, to fans watching a “film” sat in a cinema on the other side of the planet just felt awkward. 3 stars because Ghost are genuinely brilliant. The music and show is top notch. Just SO not a cinema experience. Watching multiple notes on the screen instructing you to be quiet, to then watch what is essentially just a gig of sing songs, and a singer telling “you” (California) to sing., just awkward. Feels like a cash grab.

As someone who has been obsessed with the books for years.. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Bo Burnham has always been brilliant.. but this is simply next level. It’s changed the game, and raised the bar, of what is possible by a single entertainer/comedian. Huge fan of comedy, but there hasn’t ever been a comedy special that comes close. The bar has been raised.

Far and out the worst thing to come out of Marvel in years. Worse even than the fantastic 4 films. Cringed so hard I cracked a rib, and might die. The upside is I won’t have to watch another episode.

An absolute football but, but also a woman - who appreciates the fact the popular stigma is it’s “a mans game” or “women don’t understand football”. This show explores the notion of being underestimated or undervalued and rising above it. Touches on many notes that people don’t realise surround the lives of those involved in a club, just the same as those outside it. Incredibly touching, with some great space to grow. The whole cast did fantastic, and now with a season under their belts I’m sure the second will be even better. Highly recommend for anyone, football fans or not - as there really is so much more to this than just the sport. Best show I’ve seen in 2020, and it’s been a stellar year of Tele. 5*
