The Last of us Part 2 should go down as one of the most groundbreaking games of all time. With one of the most daring stories ever to grace the media platform, by making you empathise with your enemies and question your loyalties. Something that is never done in gaming. I realise people did not enjoy the plot, and I do feel sorry that they have missed the whole point of it. Your heroes are not perfect, people are flawed and make mistakes. The story was a risk and it breaks the standard convention of Good triumphs over bad.
If you enjoyed the gameplay of the first game you will not be disappointed as they have improved on all aspects but kept the tension & drama that was so integral to the original. The world you are in is brimming with life, set-piece and hidden stories that you can piece together. Not to mention the infected being more dangerous than ever. The Stalkers shat me up.
*Slight Spoilers*
After Seattle Day 1 with Ellie I did expect each area to be as sprawling as it was after this however the gameplay did then go back to the first games, 'head to place in the distance'.
When you initially played as Abby, I did not enjoy it until Seattle day 2. Why would I want to play as a character who killed someone whom we cared about. But as we carried on I empathised and realised Her and Ellie are on the same path and are not so different. If anything Abby is more forgiving than Ellie by letting them live.
Naughty Dog, cast and crew you deserve the highest of praises and awards.
The main problem I have is that I don't want to play any other games as they won't match up to the fun & emotions I had with this.
