Movies like these are true gems of Indian cinema. It's real, subtle and hits all the right spots. A big shout out to the director, because I can tell you it's a director's film. There are lot of points, where it could have been hammed up but it didn't. It's a brilliant screenplay, amazing supporting cast and breath of fresh air from Vidya Balan (You'll know when you watch the film). Even the background score fits just right. Must watch.

I have just lived every bit of my childhood with every second of this master piece. And I rarely.care enough to review, but man oh man! the impeccable details that entraps nostalgia with it is for a lack of better word meticulous. Can watch it anyday, any episode, anywhere.

I don't know why it has such a low rating on IMDb. It deserves 7.5 and above. There are some drawbacks like convenient storytelling but it is easily overshadowed by powerful performances. The larger cause that it serves i.e. depicting life in a dystopian future is remarkable. The characters are strong, powered by excellent acting and cinematography which ingeniously captures the grief, the evil, the fragility, the vulnerability of the characters. I believe one must watch it even though it may come off as an exaggerated version of current Indian dynamics, as it has elements that makes you empathise with characters. It is a little uncomfortable to watch yet it adheres to the cause which makes it binge worthy.

The screenplay, the performances, the background score, Oh! the movie. Tabu's sassy, Ayushman just dwelled into the character and Radhika is lovely. The supporting actors too put up strong performances. The classic background score emerges as a big winner and so does Ayushman as Pianist. The fact that movie becomes convoluted in the second half is what rightly justifies the title. It's insane and one must watch it for the sake of good artwork and cinema to keep flourishing in Bollywood.

The trailer describes it best. It's a story of love, not a love story. One of the finest performances by the lead actors. The movie never digresses, and the ingrained subtlety that director brought into the movie is phenomenal. You'll not be able to leave your place.
