Watched the 1st season. It's mid. Not a bad show at all, and I love the diversity, don't confuse me for the insane homophobes who hate on this show just for having LGBTQ+ characters. But it's just bland and predictable. Watching the show is like eating a turkey white bread sandwich and baby carrots for lunch. It's not bad per se, but nothing to write home about. It also has that lifeless corporate art style which I highly dislike and doesn't look like a unique style. Overall, the plot is not holding my interest that much, the characters are okay but plain, and I don't really want to watch after Season 1, to be honest.

Dead End: Paranormal Park

This show was really good and I enjoyed it. Writing could have been a little better, but I still enjoyed. There is an interesting story and a diverse cast and really important themes. It's really telling that the only low reviews are a bunch of angry Taylor Swift fans who haven't even watched it. They're just enraged at ONE line that they claim is misogynistic while the rest of the show is super feminist. What is this horrible, evil, allegedly sexist line? It's "You go through men faster than Taylor Swift." I fail to see how this line is sexist in any way??? It's not shaming her, it's just acknowledging that the character on the show has had a love life similar to Taylor Swift, who is known for her break up songs and not having a very stable relationship. It was just a comparison and there wasn't anything sexist about it. It was a lazy joke and I feel like I've heard the joke a hundred times. I can see why she wouldn't like it but she is the one who made her whole career about her breakups. Taylor stans need to chill. Even if she didn't appreciate the line, she's a rich privileged cis straight white woman who makes more money in a day than you'll make in your whole life. She'll be fine. She's not gonna die if a show makes a quip at her. She doesn't need y'all to defend her to the death like almost a cult. I would say don't let ONE line that's hardly problematic ruin a good show for you, and if you do because you worship Swift like a god, you need to go outside and get off the internet for a while. People are allowed to joke about Taylor Swift.

So I'm giving this book two stars. I'm being generous. I really only read it because he has a similar name to me and he's been on YouTube for years, so I wanted to feed my curiosity. Two stars because this book has a few kind of coherent stories that have some semblance of coherent lessons for the readers, but otherwise, it's not a very good book because rarely does he ever expand on them or try to teach some sort of positive lesson. He also makes everything about himself and seems to lack empathy for others just based on the way he judges others situations. If you want to learn about his life and his mindset, then I guess would recommend. However, if you want an entertaining read with fascinating stories and brilliant writing; I suggest you look for something else because he is a god-awful writer. I'm not even sure how this book got published because he doesn't even know basic writing skills. Another note. If you have children/young family members who watch Shane Dawson's YouTube channel who ask you for this book, I would NOT recommend that you buy for them as it contains several instances of extreme 18+ humor, which I'm not necessarily against, it's just not my style nor appropriate for minors. There are several disgusting jokes that take it way too far, such as racist stereotypes, homophobic remarks where he constantly fearing people will think he is gay (which is ironic on many levels), and most disgustingly, sexual jokes revolving minors and/or animals. I had to skip over several lines because but those "jokes" are just vomit-inducing and didn't make me laugh in the slightest. Maybe he's just trying to be edgy, but it makes me feel extremely concerned for him that he seems to not understand boundaries. This book could have been a LOT better and easier to get through had he left those out.
