The Last of Us Part II is a game of phenomenal scope, design, gameplay, and graphical fidelity. There is no gainsaying the fact that its story will polarize players, and while that is understandable, it doesn't take away from how emotive said story is and how well woven into the game's world it feels. My one criticism would be that there is a disconnect between the level of violence the main characters routinely dish out, and the story of redemption the ending seems to point towards. And so the ending falls a little flat. Especially in contrast to the first game.
By and large, this is a great game. Memorable, engaging, and beautifully made.
