I LOVED this game very much. It was such a refreshing game for me I was in love with it as soon as I started. Some say they don’t but I really like the combat (although the environmental hazard pools on the ground were pretty annoyingly placed and often too excessive). The combat to me was fluid and felt like it was not too easy but not too challenging. I loved being able to upgrade my weapons and armor. And it feels like it paid off when I got to go to the next level. Being able to go back to the old dungeons and one shot everything was fun too. The sales aspect was basic but catchy. It kept me interested and did make me feel challenged to make as much as I could. Upgrading my shop was always inspiring as well. As far as the dungeons go, I think they were well refined, although small. Which is fine given how much damage enemies do to you (which is WAY too much. Like, seriously? A slime hitting me and doing 81 damage??????) so it’s proportionate. I really liked the bosses I felt they were interesting. I was slightly aggravated at the lack of inventory expansion at first but that was quickly remedied by the mimic chest companion you can get, that was a FANTASTIC idea. The unique characteristics certain items in dungeon chests could have kept it challenging to only take home what was most valuable and really make me think. With all that being said, now on the the cons of the game. I played on PS4 and it was pretty buggy. Like REALLY buggy. Sometimes the floor textures in town and at the dungeon entrances would just disappear and the ground would be black. I got stuck in my shop once cause I couldn’t place items on the pedestals, sleep, or open the door. For some reason the bottom right corner of chests was bugged and I couldn’t place anything there or else it’d duplicate and then completely disappear if I tried to close and reopen it. And finally the worst of them all which ruined the ending for me, was the fact that at the end cutscene while the dimensional cop guy is talking, every time I pressed X, MY CHARACTER WOULD SWING HIS SWORD. Basically ruining the moment for me. That and I could also run around and go into town while he was talking, so I missed some of the dialogue because I mistakenly left and pressed X a few times while in town, and it still continued the dialogue (which I could not see). Overall, I really enjoyed this game and for a first standalone game for Digital Sun, I’d say it was well done with the exception of a few things. If a sequel was made I’d buy it immediately. Thanks for making a great game!!!
