I bought this book because I saw how it made people burst out sobbing on tiktok. Long story short, I shouldn't have bought it. To begin, I felt no connection to the main character, she was annoying and cringe, the classic "I'm not like other girls" type. The plot itself was mundane and pointless, the whole book BARELY talked about the relationship between the main character and her neighbor that she is in love with. It gives us some flashbacks to memories, but that doesn't mean anything to the reader. The whole book just talks about her weird friend-group and her boyfriend, who she doesn't even love. And I know that Finny is supposed to be the guy we want her with, but I still don't know his personality. None of the characters have any depth. Sure, he's a nice guy but what else? Hence why the "sad" ending wasn't sad and honestly it was expected from page one. However, if you like dull, cringe, love stories, its def a buy!
