I knew nothing about this case before watching this Netflix series. I agree what the two boys did was wrong, but when I look at their circumstances at home, and think about what they must have been through as children and throughout their lives, and still are, and if any of it is true, and I believe that it is TRUE! I feel very disappointed and think that the jury made the wrong decision! Especially because of the naivety and stupid things Lyle said on the phone, probably just to appear cool or whatever to that lady. Since they still stand by their statement after more than two decades, there must be something TRUTH to it! Netflix portrayed both brothers as MONSTERS just to make their series more interesting and also added some very shameful things to it, that were not confirmed by anyone and were only based on rumors published by the media at the time! In my opinion, the boys back then were very young and naive and not in the right state of mind! If they could do things right, they would! They have already spent so many years in prison! It is very cruel to learn that both brothers were separated for more than 20 years! They could have been died alone by now! In my opinion, they should finally be released! Everyone deserves a second chance in life! God also Forgives our sins and I think they learned their lesson and regret what they did! Even if they get released their life will not be easy! I wonder what the US government did to their money!!! I guess all down the river fighting for freedom?!!?!!
