FromSoftware knows how to make a game. I've never played an Armored Core game before, but my trust in this game developer was not misplaced. The gameplay is always front and center for them, which I like, and this game is no different. The satisfaction of overcoming challenge, the customization, the replayability, the level design, the polished combat mechanics, it's all here.

An overall excellent game. Challenging, with very little meta-progression, but still has an addictive gameplay loop. You will be returning over and over, each time getting a little better. It also has a very mysterious, creepy, and cryptic story.

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. Just wow. An amazing game on every level, even technically, on the PS5 at least.

It was a pretty good game in 2018 before the major update and now in 2021, it's even better. It's has more customization options, more bosses, more weapons, skills, and the combat is more responsive and fluid. Plenty of challenge in heroic boss fights for those who want it and not too hard for those who don't. This is an excellent ARPG/Metroidvania.

After about 10 hours in, I can say it's been fantastic so far and I fully expect many more hours of enjoyment to come. I haven't even finished the game yet and I'm already hoping the developers make good on their word to add DLC, which will increase the replay value even further. If you enjoy challenging action RPGs, then this is definitely for you.
