(Warning review contains spoilers)
Having finally finished watching this last night I sadly found this crossover to be very disappointing.
While I enjoyed the previous crossovers such as Invansion and Crisis on Earth X for me Crisis on Infinite earths was not as good as I hoped it would be.
The good points of it were it was the acting from the cast I could not fault as all the actors lived up to their roles quite well.
And I did like some of the cameos the one that surprised me the most was Lucifer appearing in the Flash episode briefly.
However I felt the storyline and the plot was a huge letdown and not well written.
While it was cool to see so many characters make an appearance their were times where I felt they had to many characters then they knew what to do with.
And most of the subplots seemed like they were either rushed through and didn't go into enough detail. Some also seemed pointless and unnecessary such as in the first part where White canary and Lois Lane have to go and find baby Jonathan.
To me that was one of the few examples of plot parts which either didn't go anywhere or were straight forward and had no threat or anything it made me wonder why it was included in the first place?
As well as this having read some of the other reviews I questioned the part of Ryan Choi and what purpose he actually played in the story and during the vanish point episode plot flaws like how did they survive for 30 days with no food or water etc.. seemed quite unbelievable?
The worst part of this as well was the way death and the use of the Green Arrow was portrayed.
As a big fan of the show I felt this was handled poorly and was given no where near the level of respect it deserved.
I felt like lesser characters like Captain Cold, Nora West Allen and Professor Stein were given better exits then him.
To see him go from being the badass superhero seen in Arrow to a cross between AC Altair and Luke Skywalker was not how he should have been portrayed in this.
Plus for him to die in episode one despite this being his last outing seemed disgraceful and not how he should have gone out.
It actually made me wish they had ended his show at the end of Season 7 with him settling down with Flecity to raise Mia.
I know that would have been more boring but compared to what he got I would have been more satisfied with that.
And finally my estimation of Mar Navoo as it went on went down and the anti monitor was an awful villain.
While playing this mystical being and all knowing demi god as the crisis went on it seemed like the reason for things going wrong and Arrow dying was cause of his mess rather then it happening by fate.
And as for the anti monitor unlike Thanos from the MCU I really didn't understand his motive or see any personality as to why he tried to wipe out the universe at all.
By the time I got to the 5th and final episode I was just praying for it to all be over.
So overall I would have to give this a 2 out of 5 as despite the good acting and getting to see all the CW shows share the stage.
I'm afraid poor writing and direction of the characters made this a bit of flop for me.
