Possible my favorite Walter Mosely novel, though I confess I haven't read all of them. Those of us who read this one felt that he left the end sort of hanging - which gives me hope that he will write more with this character.

I know Elizabeth Taylor hated this film and I agree with her. I was only in high school at the time and I hated it. Mostly I hated the cop-out ending. This is the film that finished me on the Academy Awards having anything to do with film or performance quality.
