During the Battle for Hong Kong - Lt Gordon Fairclough commanded a battery of two 3.7-inch AA guns on Brick Hill. In this limited edition privately published autobiography he tells how his guns were overrun by the Japanese on Christmas Day 1941. He was shot right through the upper chest but survived and then, remarkably, five weeks later escapes from POW Camp and makes his way to Free China and rejoins the war.
