As a former LA cop, I was disappointed in the pilot of this show and may not watch other episodes. It is not - and was probably never intended to be - another Dragnet or Adam-12, but please; don't make all of us looks like complete uneducated morons with too much testosterone and too little common sense. Edie Falco is a great actress with a very loyal following but I'm not quite sure how they will like her in this role. The story of LAPD's first female COP should have been written by someone who (1) knows LAPD, (2) knows women, and (3) knows female cops. This writing staff appears to know none of the above and put forth little effort to learn.. Too bad. Great potential but little reason to continue watching more than half of the pilot.
