10 of 10 for the genre: So, now you're supposed to get excited about American politics? Yeah, actually. At the very least, this is television at it's finest. Writer/Creator Aaron Sorkin shows the world how to write television in this one. TV should be entertaining, witty, informative... and whatever else it should be is right here, bolstered by superb cast and feature quality music score. Martin Sheen is the president of the United States everyone wishes they had, even if they are from another country. He's surrounded by a staff that, when not tripped up by it's own brilliance, actually seeks to better the world on a daily basis, despite all odds. And the odds throw no less than 3 to 4 curves at them every week. What moves me, between laughs, insight and clever story, is Sorkin reminds us that we are all fragile, but we are also strong, and that humility and strength play an important role in how we effect the world around us. Enjoy!
