Besides it's uneven tone, An American Pickle is earnest and simple in it's narrative of social, family and even religious commentary on the world of past meets present and Rogen as both Ben and Herschel Greenbaum delivers an adequate amount of laughter but not satisfactory as it could have had more to offer.

4th Republic is an intelligent piece, that is thought provocative with a seamless narrative balanced on compelling performances. it may not be perfect , but it stands as one of the most realistic take on the dirtiness and consequences of politics we've never seen in a Nollywood Movie. 7.5/10
