I read this as a school book club book. After the first hour of reading I was in love! I finished it within the first three days, so I read it again. It is an amazing read and I recommend it from ages 9-16. After I had read it my teacher bought the sequel, The War I Finally Won. If you finish The War That Saved My Life you should definitely read the second.
