I'm just disheartened that this movie wasn't given the status it deserves in the horror genre. From its atmospheric set, 70's era looks and feel to its beautiful lead, this was and is a great horror classic. Not many films can grip you in tension and deliver suspense in this way. The direction, story and acting are top-notch. The story and its twist deliver a satisfying and re-watchable film that I've enjoyed for years. It's a slow-burn but when taken as a whole, House of the Devil is a gloriously suspenseful horror classic!
