I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy it at all but a lot of things were a shame really. It feels like the characters do stuff for absolutely no reason. Stella hates Bloom, okay. How’s that she becomes so sweet in a blink of an eye? That’s just weird. Bloom sometimes appears to be absolutely dumb, not angry. And you just do the face palm thing sometimes. At the same time many reactions are so canonical and predictable. The scene where Bloom finds out about Ricky and Sky makes that face full of disgust in a reaction to the Stella’s line. Pretentious and predictable. And there are plenty of such. Plus I feel like it was inspired by Harry Potter in a lot of ways. Luna has Dolores Ambridge vibe. The final battle looks a lot like the battle for Hogwarts. That’s not bad, but again too straightforward. Still I liked Winx a lot as a child and I would love to watch more. But I hope that the next season if any will be better.
