I think Waco should cause Americans and their governments to take a step back and ask what the hell they think they are doing. I know it won't but it should. At best, the ATF and FBI are not learning from their mistakes that lead to tragedies. At worst, America is a militaristic police state ruling its people through fear and tyranny. Keep in mind that much of this story was based on the observations of an FBI negotiator. The rest on the story of one of Koresh's newest and least inculcated recruits. From the outside it really looks like America has blinkers on and refuses to learn from its mistakes in law enforcement, gun control, foreign interventions, drugs and immigration. It's a mess and it's exporting that mess to the world. Good luck with that.
