Josh “Cruncholicism” Mickelson

This movie can’t decide whether it wants to be gritty and dark like Batman v. Superman or upbeat and violent like Deadpool and it really threw me off. The titular character serves mostly as comic relief and a narrator and the plot is almost entirely driven by other characters. It jumps around chronologically and refuses to let audiences digest the exposition before more is jammed down their throats. I think worst of all is the fact that this movie does not show the audience anything. It doesn’t let them form their own opinions of characters. Characters are bad because that’s what Harley told us. They aren’t given backstories, outside of one defining trait like a lust for revenge. Everyone is just one dimensional
