Madeline Whittier

It is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Simply written, yet encompasses the tiniest of details. It follows the story of a girl who has never been outside the protective membrane of her home or the watchful eyes of her mom and the nurses designated to look after her. The girl, Maddy/Madeline suffers from a deadly disease which prevents her from going out, talking to people or even going to school. Her life is turned upside down when, Olly/Oliver moves next door. What follows next is a wild rollercoaster journey filled with heart wrenching truths, love, adventure and the discovery of self.
