I am a little late in the game with season 2 but I’m catching up. The best thing about this show is how all the parts fall into place. The writing, the actors, time in history and the city of Boston combined results in the perfect storm. It can be enjoyed simply for the action and all the twists and turns. Great! However, to truly get the most out of it is to be well read like Jackie. Smart writers respect the audience. Writers, we get it. Thanks for season 2. One more thing; I caught the St. Eligiius Hospital reference. That is the name of the city hospital in the NBC show, St. Elsewhere. Love it!

The Irishman is satisfying movie experience. Joe Pesci stole the show. His performance was unlike any I've seen him do before. He was so understated and believable. It was obvious that he was a powerful man with tremendous influence. His character took such care of Frank. He revealed to Frank what he needed to know as if he was protecting Frank and the needs of those he represented. The audience needs to root for at least one character in a movie. I rooted for Joe Pesci's Russell.
