I downloaded this game on PS4, excited for the next biggest installment of the Five Nights At Freddy’s franchise but throughout my playthrough, I was met with a consistent array of disappointment. Many of the in-game models were poorly rendered, artwork and sprites were very fuzzy, several textures would be glitched out, floor textures would sometimes disappear, characters would get stuck in places and clip through walls, items would clip through my character’s hand or just be downright suspended in mid-air, saving progress would be very tedious and frustrating, there would be very vague information given on missions, some areas would have a very laggy frame rate, in-game cutscenes and jumpscares would play but the screen would be completely black, and important game mechanics like hiding inside Glamrock Freddy would stop working all of a sudden. I’ve tried turning my game on and off but to no avail, despite this, I continued to near the end of the game. I won’t give any spoilers as the game’s release is still fairly recent but I’m at a part where I have to activate three generators. but for some god-forsaken reason, the third generator doesn’t work so I’m left completely stuck with no way of progressing further. I’m very disappointed by the presentation of this game, which is a big shame as there were quite a few good elements in some cases (such as music and voice acting, the latter especially from Kellen Goff). Two years of buildup just for a half-baked, bug-infested, glitch-riddled mess? I guess that so-called “cake with extra sprinkles” was a lie, huh? This trend of companies releasing unfinished games, and making patches that fix them months later really needs to stop. To anyone who owns a PS4, I strongly suggest you DON’T waste your money on this game, you’ll find much more enjoyment watching a YouTuber play Security Breach in comparison to playing it yourself.
